Gunman Free 800 Prisoners from Nigeria Prison

New York Times has recently reported that gunman set free up to 800 prisoners from the nigeria prison. They suspect the gunman were members Boko Haram an Islamic sect. Boko Haram killed hundreds of people around the Northern city of Maiduguri a year ago. The gunman forced the prison gates open and set all the prisoners set free. Almost 800 people were killed some of them injured by a gun battle that raged for days. The police and army used home-made guns,machetes and knifes to try to put down the uprising by sect. Ever since the attack security has been tightened with the police and army carrying out joint patrols and a dusk-to-dawn ban imposed by motorcycles that have been used by gunman to carry out rescent attacks. The Bauchi prison was holding members of the sect after last years attack.
