The Congo Rapes

According to the New York times the United Nations knew that Rwandan rebels were occupying villages outside of Congo. In the time they were there the rebels raped nearly 200 women. This raised questions of why peacemakers Failed to move to protect the villagers. Many of these women were raped by 2 to 5 men. The numbers all so reported that during 2008-2009 nearly 500 women were raped. this makes me sick to my very core that something so horrible and disgusting like can happen. I wait eagerly for the action that taken against the that have committed these and the punishment they will receive.
