Japans government opened up execution chambers to the public for the first time. Journalists were taken on a tour on Tokyo’s main gallows. Japans government opened the execution chambers on September, 3 2010. The inside of the execution chamber was: a Trapdoor, a Buddha and a ring for the noose. 2000-2009 Japan sentenced 112 people on death row and 46 executed. Inmates that is on death row are not told a date when they are going to be executed, they are told last minute. Inmates can remain on death row as long as 40 years. What I thought about this was what are the inmates reactions to when they are told last minute?? And I think this is cool but messed up because of how the government told the inmates last minute about their death.
