The Government of Argentina's president, Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, refused to steps toward protecting women's health। Socal wave sweeping through Argentina, including Congress's approval last month of a national law authorizing same-sex marriages. Women struggle to obtain birth control. The doctors shy away from offering legal abortions in the predominantly Roman Catholic country. In 2008, more than 20 percent of deaths are caused from unsafe abortions. They estimated 40 percent of pregnancies in 2005 ended in abortions, most of them illegal & unsafe.

I thought that the rates of illegal abortion were extremely high. Even worst the number of deaths that are caused from unsafe abortions. In any of those cases I was expecting the president to take an action. Although that didn’t happen I hope the congress takes some sort of action. If making medical help more access to women maybe those numbers would decrease.
