Caracas,Venezuela

In Caracas, Venezuela people joke and say they they might be safer in Iraq and Afghanistan then in Venezuela. The civilian death rate in venezeula reached 16,000 and the civiallian death rate in Iraq was only 4,644. Even Mexicos drug war has claimed fewer lives . Many venezuelans have had to hire foreign security to help them prevent kidnappings and killings. Both rich and poor have been kidnapped an. Mostly all of the homocides have been drug related. Police salarys are very low so there is no motivation for them to fight the crime, and a lot of them are apart of it themselves. The surrounding South American countries are trying to help out by sending in government to try to restore order.

I think it's a shame that most of the killings have to do with drugs. and the rate for Iraq and Afghanistan is lower that Venezuela. There's a war in iraq, but there's also a war in venezuela and it had to be drug related. its dissapointing.
