Imperialism

Chinas presence has been felt in Africa. China is in Africa as part of an effort to create a pardigm of globalisation that favors China. China has said that they will respect Africas national sovereignty and won't interefere with internal affairs. Recently Chinas promise has shifted a little towards an imperialism. They seem to be on a pursuit of economic self interest to acess raw materials and want trade and military influences brought on in Africa. These goals that China has could fall into an imperialism category.
Imperialism is the domination by one country of the political, economic, or cultural life of another country or region. Imperialism has been a part of our history for centuries. It has also cuased lots of problems for countries like Africa that have raw materials that people want to make money off of. Imperialism can also cuase wars becuase countries want to prove that they are better than everyone else and they also want money. China is trying to get there hands on africas raw materials to make an economic profit off them. Thats why the situation explained above between China and Africa is considered imperialism. I beleive that instead of one country benefitting from imperialism both countries should. There should be an agreement between both countries that divide all the positive outcomes to be split fifty-fifty. When only one country benefits the other one begins to face hardships like disease, famine, and death becuase outside countries come into lands like Africa use up the resources and leave harming the enviroment in Africa. Imperialism is wrong and harmful and the world should learn how to comprimise equally.
