In late 1990, when Indian's seed economy was forced by the World Band to become globalized, economic conditions within the nation's agriculture become worst. Indian farmers situation were into abject poverty. Twenty-five years later, the effect of this associate takeover of Indian agriculture is countless suicides, 200,000 people which have occurred just in past ten years. Many farmers have lost their farms and lands. Millions of Indian farmers with absolutely nothing lead to committed suicide. Years of the poor agricultural policy was blame for the widespread failure of agriculture in many Indian regions and connected to the introduction of GM (genetically-modified), in the 1990. The reporter said that Indian government removed cotton subsides in 1997, which mean cotton farmers has loss their profits. When farmers borrow large amount of money to invest in GM technology, they become in debt because they do not have money to pay back. Eventually, they lost everything and many of them end up killing themselves because they have nothing left. The globalization of agriculture in general has increased poverty in India, as crop subsides in other nations began to affect India agriculture. Indian farmers lost many money to compete in the global market. Global power has ruin farmers' life unless they try to stop the global system in India.
