Second Take

This was one nerve wrecking interview, compared to the first one at least. This one was with my aunt, who had previously owned a restaurant before being a waiter at my parents' restaurant. She has a slight problem with pronouncing words correctly so I had to pay attention very carefully to really get information out of her. We sat there in the same spot as my previous interview, having some memories flashing back to me. I reminded myself that in order to make this interview successful, I had to focus more on the person I was interviewing. The interview went well. There were times where I had to politely ask her to repeat what she had said but other than that, everything was perfect. I even had time to ask her about how her current job was doing. I felt very confident after the interview that I had all the information I needed. To maybe improve my interview, I think I could've had a little time before to get used to the way she spoke before asking the important questions. I feel another step closer to the completion of my I-Search Project, which lifts another weight off my shoulders.

your lucky you got to interview your aunt. its easier to interview someone you know than a stranger. it sucks that you had a hard time understanding her but at least you got the interview done.

Family is way easier to interview. You feel more comfortable and can ask anything without feeling uncomfortable. At least thats how I thought it was. Sorry u had a hard time.
